The A’Bunadh Alba Batch 5 is named after the Quercus Alba variety of American white oak used to craft the ex-bourbon barrels in which this whisky rested. Bottled a robust cask strength of 62.7% abv this dram packs a real punch. There’s fresh green apples, sweet pears and vanilla cream aromas, followed by explosions of citrus lemon zest, tangy grapefruit and all-butter shortbread on the palate. Enjoy the rewarding sweet and smooth finish with hints of toasted almonds.

Aberlour is now owned by Chivas Brothers and it’s single malt is a best seller is France. The expertly crafted spirit for the core range is matured in both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks creating a rich and complex style single malt.

Nose: Sweet orchard fruit aromas of fresh green apple and juicy sweet pears complemented with delicate lavender honey, smooth vanilla cream and zesty sherbet lemon.
Palate: An initial burst of citrus lemon zest and tangy grapefruit revealing rich all-butter shortbread and soft baked apples, followed by a hint of sweet sugared almonds.
