A great Ardnamurchan release by independent bottler Cadenhead’s for their Sherry Cask series. Distilled in February 2016 and bottled in the winter of 2022 this cask strength whisky has bags of punchy flavour. Aromas of smoked paprika and chocolate orange fill the nose. Then expect earthy notes with toasted marshmallows, honeycomb covered in milk chocolate and applewood smoke to delight the palate. One of just 324 bottles.

Ardnamurchan is a Highlands distillery located on the remote Ardnamurchan peninsula to the north of the Isle of Mull. Founded in 2014 and opened by HRH The Princess Royal the distillery is owned by independent bottler Adelphi Selection. All local renewable energy is used to power and heat the site making it currently Scotland’s greenest distillery. Ardnamurchan’s inaugural whisky was released in 2020 matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.

Aroma: Floral, smoked paprika, chocolate orange.
Palate: Toasted marshmallows, honeycomb covered in milk chocolate, campfire smoke.
Finish: Orange marmalade, caramel shortbread, savoury notes.
