A 13 year old BenRiach bottled for the 16th batch of their single cask bottling’s. Distilled in May 2005 and matured in a single Jamaican rum barrel before being bottled at natural cask strength of 55% abv in 2019. As you would expect there’s plenty of rich tropical fruit flavours coming to the fore in this exceptional single malt.

Founded back in 1897 by John Duff & Co this well know Speyside distillery was quickly closed and has changed hands numerous times in its lifespan. In 2020 the distillery’s whole core range was replaced with seven new exciting expressions. The owners BenRiach Distillery Company have also proudly reinstated the malting floors for occasional use.

Official Tasting Notes
Aroma - Tropical notes of guava and cantaloupe melon combine with vanilla. Chocolate and coconut covered marshmallow soften and round off the nose.
Taste - Tropical fruit salad with pineapple, pear and papaya
Finish - Honeyed melon and coconut cream linger into the smooth, sweet finish
