A 2006 vintage Glenturret 15 year old from Gordon & MacPhail bottled for their Cask Strength Connoisseurs Choice range. Matured in a single refill sherry butt. Bottled a natural cask strength of 55.6% on the 26th of April 2022. A release of only 551 bottles.

The Glenturret distillery is in the Southern Highlands region and located in the town of Crieff in Perthshire. The owners are Lalique Group/Hansjorg Wyss who acquired the distillery quite recently in 2019. The new owners have prioritised making the Glenturret Highland single malt a brand in its own right and all reference to the previous 'The Famous Grouse Experience' has been left behind. In 2020 a whole new range was launched. This range is made up of the Triple Wood, 10 year old Peat Smoked, 12 year old, 15 year old, 25 year old and 30 year old. A new limited bottling’s range was also launched under the name ‘The Trinity’. In other recent news, the on site restaurant was awarded a Michelin Star in 2022. This is the first time a distillery in Scotland has been award such an accolade and it enhances Glenturret as a destination for tourists as well as whisky enthusiasts.

Aroma - Stewed raisin aromas combine with festive spiced and a hint of beeswax polish.
Taste - Orange marmalade flavours are balanced by cracked black pepper and toasted oak.
Finish - A long finish with grapefruit zest.
