An exceptional single malt whisky that is hand-filled, on demand, at cask strength in our Distillery shop. Every bottling is unique.
The distillery malt is a piece of our history; it is available to those who make the journey to the Glenfiddich Distillery.
Matured to perfection in three types of oak cask - sherry, bourbon and new oak - it is then married in our unique, handcrafted oak solera vat. The solera vat is never emptied but is always kept at least half full, giving the whisky more character, harmony and an intense complexity.
The distillery malt has been bottled by hand at cask strength, with no chill filtering in order to retain its full character. On addition of water or ice a slight haze may occur. This is perfectly natural and does not in any way impair the quality of the whisky.
Great for collectors and connoisseurs. A hard to come by piece of distillery heritage and a fantastic malt with intriguing layers of spice, sherry oak, marzipan, dark chocolate and ginger.
Tasting Notes

Colour

Rich and golden.

Nose

A complex aroma with sweet, fruity notes and a delicate vanilla oakiness. Addition of a little water releases a beautiful combination of heathery spices and rich fruit.

Taste

Silky smooth and warming when tasted at full strength. With the addition of water it produces intriguing layers of spice, sherry oak, marzipan, dark chocolate and ginger.

Finish

Long lasting with a lingering vanilla sweetness.
Comes complete with solid wood presentation box.
