Sweet mandarin and satsuma veered towards a sticky marmalade menagerie as perfumed notes of rose and lavender suggested scented soap. Ripe apples and pears came soaked in brandy, lifting the fruit towards tropical realms of pineapple and coconut. Honey and maple syrup cascaded over a zingy and mouth watering palate that perfectly combined jelly sweets with seasoned oak. With water we initially found crushed mint and brown sugar that softened to poached pears and autumnal notes of sweet mushrooms and dried leaves. Then orange and apricot jelly sweets rolled into a finish of great length that unified ripe strawberries and orange skin with toasted wood.
