The first comment was ‘just like a bed of roses’ – literally but also metaphorically being effortless, luxurious, comforting, smooth and elegant. On the palate neat, hazelnut meringue torte filled with raspberry and cream and a cinnamon chocolate chip cookie in the finish. With a drop of water we were in a fruit tree garden of pears, plums and peaches all in spring blossom savouring a pistachio almond waffle with cherry vanilla sauce. To taste now – easy-going, however at the same time an intriguing blend of simplicity and sophistication like a homemade old-fashioned creamy vanilla pudding. Intrigued? Give it a try!
