Ardbeg Anthology - The Beithir's Tale 15 Year Old Single Malt Whisky 46%

Introducing the third and final edition in the popular Ardbeg Anthology collection of whiskies. The Beither’s Tale edition was fully matured in rare designer bourbon casks for 15 years. These specially crafted casks were air seasoned, heavily toasted and lightly charred to exacting specifications. The resulting whisky has aromas of treacle, creosote and smoked herbs which leads into peat smoke, coffee grits and currants on the palate. With water there’s a sweet lemon balsam entwines with smoked mandarins, followed by a sharp, smoky tang. Overall a wonderfully beguiling whisky with a smoky, aromatic style to savour and enjoy. 

The box features the legendary Beither a fearsome serpent like beast from Scottish folklore that is said to have once slithered through Ardbeg’s warehouses.
