Nose: Smoke is punching above it’s PPM: clean, dry ash and honey-glazed ham; balanced by subtle antiseptic and fresh coastal brine. Digestive biscuits, newly unwrapped leather Moleskine notebook, slightly decaying mint leaves, pickled gherkin.
Lots of citrus; tart cooking apples, lemons, and pink grapefruit.
Pine forest terpenes.

Palate: Sherbet lemons, vibrant and dynamic, energetic prickly heat but a rich sweetness of dark sugars; notes of toasted oak wood and black tea emerge heavily layered in coastal brine.

adding some water:
Hints of bitter Brazil nut, linseed oil, some Talisker maritime pepper, cinnamon, ginger, and burnt melted butter; fudge, demerara sugar, dark honey, toasted vanilla oak, and resinous wood.

Mouthfeel:
Lightly syrupy. Good prickly heat, chalky astringency, cut with glucose sweetness, that salt again.

Finish:
Long, warming, and drying, leaving lingering traces of dry ash, sea salt brine, bitter tea tannins, and sweet malty biscuit. Zesty turned more orange sorbet. The antiseptic tending more herbal germolone (carbolic acid and methyl salicylate apparently!).
