An intriguing new offering of Royal Brackla single malt whisky from independent bottlers Thompson Bros. Distilled in 2014 and aged in a pair of first-fill bourbon hogsheads for 12 years, this whisky offers something different to fans of the distillery who are more familiar with the sherried style of the official bottlings. This whisky gives notes of muscovado sugar, key lime pie, and pistachios on the nose, complemented by honey, almonds, and a healthy dose of oakiness on the palate.
