A rare 1976 vintage Banff matured and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for The Private Collection Lost Distilleries Recollection Series #2. Distilled on the 26th of October 1976 and bottled on the 3rd of February 2023 at a strength of 50.4% abv. This collectable 46 year old whisky was matured in a single refill sherry butt #2887 resulting in a whisky with deep rich flavour and long lingering spice notes.

Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Fragrant festive spices intertwine with clove studded orange and demerara sugar. Subtle toffee notes give way to prunes and baked apple.
Palate: Rich stewed red fruit flavours complement cinnamon and ginger with a hint of black pepper. Toasted hazelnuts develop alongside marzipan and matured oak.
Finish: Medium-bodied with lingering citrus and nuts.
