The 21 year old Royal Salute Signature Blend is a real find. It is matured for a minimum of 21 years to honour the 21 Gun Salute fired at the Tower of London for Royal celebration. A sophisticated whisky that comes in a blue Wade ceramic decanter.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose Powerful aromas of sweet pears and citrus fruits are balanced with the full fragrance of summer flowers. Elegant aromas of sweet vanilla and a dry oakiness are enhanced with subtle notes of sherry and smoke.

Palate The first sip releases sumptuous sweet orange marmalade flavours infused with fresh pears that burst across the tongue.The second brings a rich medley of spices and a nuttiness of hazelnuts that have an intensity before finally releasing a warmth with hints of smoke.

Finish Long, sweet and fruity.

One of the jewels in the Chivas crown, Royal Salute was created to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. This 21 Year Old is a robust and sophisticated whisky, with fruity aromas and delicate floral spices. It is presented in a unique porcelain flagon, painted with a sapphire glaze reminiscent of the gems set within the Imperial State Crown.
