An excellent limited edition release form the Ardbeg distillery. Matured initially in ex-Bourbon casks then finished in ex-rum casks from the Americas the resulting whisky was named the Ardbeg Drum. There are well integrated tropical notes that marry beautifully with the traditional citrus and tarry style of this single malt.

A flamboyant jamboree of flavours, with fragrant pine resin, woodsmoke and seaspray dancing alongside ripe banana and pineapple. Lavender, liquorice and vanilla sway into rich dark chocolate, before parading into a long, smoky finish. 

This Islay distillery renowned for it’s peaty whiskies was initially documented way back in 1794. In recent years it’s expressions have won esteemed awards like World’s Best Single Malt and World Whisky of the Year to name just a few. The distillery brought out its peatiest whisky to date in 2009 named Supernova.
