An exceptional single malt from Aberfeldy here finished in Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks from Napa Valley in California.
This 18 year old, Batch 2923/B was firstly matured in a combination of refill casks before a 15 month finish in ex-Cabernet Sauvignon barriques. A rich and mellow dram with red berry aromas and layers of green apple, honey and soft spice notes on the palate. A limited edition Highland single malt of depth and character.

Tasting note from Stephanie Macleod Aberfeldy's Malt Master:
Compared to the 15 year old, this whisky shows a deepening of the red berry aromas. There’s green apple and Aberfeldy’s signature honey floral notes. Being older and having spent longer in the wine cask, it’s richer and more decadent, more syrupy versus jammy, and has a softening of the spice notes – the tannin notes, which come across as cinnamon in the 15, dissipate leaving a velvety and more mellow dram.

The Aberfeldy distillery was planned by the Dewar family in 1896 in beautiful Highland Perthshire just outside Aberfeldy. This distillery is famed for it's production of quality blended whisky and now produces extremely popular single malts with a distinct honeyed-richness. Boasts impressively over 150 gold medal taste awards placing Aberfeldy firmly in the limelight for its quality.
