A 1997 vintage Glenlossie from Gordon & MacPhail’s Connoisseurs Choice range of single malts. Carefully and expertly matured for 24 years in a first fill sherry butt. Bottled in April 2022 this whisky is one of only 586 bottles.

Glenlossie in the Speyside region is located just south of Elgin in Morayshire. It was founded in 1876 by John Duff, who previously managed Glendronach. Distillers Company Limited {DCL} took possession of the distillery in 1919 and after its amalgamation Glenlossie is now owned by Diageo. The whisky produced is mainly used in their blended portfolio most notably Haig Gold Label. The malt produced at Glenlossie is distilled in exactly the same way to ensure consistency of flavour for Haig. The characteristic of the new make spirit is both grassy and oily due to the long fermentation times and purifiers on the stills. There have been very few official bottling released and the only one at present is the Flora & Fauna 10 year old. If you looking for a Glenlossie single malt whisky then the independent bottlers offer a good variety. The Scotch Malt Whisky Society have impressively released over one hundred single casks of Glenlossie

Aroma- Sweet fruitcake aromas combine with ginger clove spice.
Taste - Morello cherry and blackcurrant flavours accompany toasted oak and citrus zest.
Finish- A light finish with lingering spice.
