About Clydeside Whisky
The Clydeside distillery was founded in 2017 by Tim Morrison on the banks of the river Clyde in the old Pumphouse of the Queens Docks in Glasgow. John Morrison, Tim’s great grandfather designed the Pumphouse in 1863 so building a distillery within it seemed the perfect way to honour his memory. There has also been family involvement in the whisky industry for over a hundred years prior to the distillery opening. Tim Morrison constitutes the forth generation of an extremely we'll know and regarded Scotch whisky family. Andrew Morrison, Tim’s son is now the managing director at the distillery. In 2021 the first single malt ‘Stobcross’ was released which has a light, delicate Lowland quality. A limited edition whisky to mark the COP26 meeting held in Glasgow has also been released. There is a very attractive visitors centre with a stylish tasting room constructed within the old Pumphouse that welcome’s many tourists each year.
