This 14-year-old single malt underwent a finishing period in an octave cask and was subsequently bottled by Duncan Taylor, a bottler with a strong family heritage. The fragrance is marked by hints of zesty orange marmalade, roasted hazelnut, and the subtle presence of clove. These aromas give way to a palate enriched with notes of black pepper, caramel, and velvety milk chocolate.

Miltonduff is a Speyside regional distillery that lies south-west of Elgin in Morayshire. The distillery, originally named Milton worked as an illicit farm distillery up until 1824 when Andrew Peary and Robert Bain were granted a licence. Interestingly Miltonduff also produced another whisky from 1967 to 1981 called Mosstowie with the use of a pair Lomond stills that were installed at the time. Current owners Chivas Brothers {Pernod Richard} are investing a huge amount to increase the level of production at the site. Miltonduff’s expansion will be in the form of a brand new sustainable distillery next to the existing one. The single malt is an important part of the renowned Ballantine’s blended whisky and the expansion is intended to aid further growth of this successful brand. Miltonduff whisky is an extremely versatile single malt and a popular choice for blending. Official bottlings of Miltonduff as a single malt are the 15, and 19 year olds.
