A 15 year old Mannochmore Speyside whisky release by independent bottler Woodrow’s of Edinburgh. This Mannochmore was initially matured in a refill hogshead then finished for three years in a 1st fill Bodega Fernando de Castilla Oloroso sherry hogshead, #15693. Bottled on the 23rd of November 2023 at a cask strength of 54.1% abv. One of just 281 bottles of this exceptional single cask whisky.

Mannochmore is a Speyside distillery south of the town of Elgin in the County of Moray. It is a relatively new distillery founded in 1971 by Distillers Company Ltd and is sited close to Glenlossie. These two distilleries share the same source of water from the Bardon Burn a tributary of the river Spey. Nearly all the whisky produced at the distillery is for blending. Mannochmore is the key malt for Haig a well know brand of Scottish whisky. The distillery has a large capacity of 6 million litres and runs seven days a week producing a fruity style new make spirit.
The distillery was closed for a period in the 1980’s. Then a short while after re-opening the first official bottling was released named the ‘Flora & Fauna’ 12 year old. Mannochmore single malt is popular with The Scotch Malt Whisky Society {SMWS} who have bottled many single casks throughout the years.

Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Honey, vanilla, stewed fruit, poached pear, golden syrup.
Palate: Oily, orange peel, green apple, hints of baking spices, Granola, Christmas mince pie.
Finish: Oaty, white pepper, peach, more green apple with a medium finish.
