A rare offering from the Glencadam distillery, situated in the town of Brechin on the eastern coast of the Scottish Highlands. Typically matured in ex-bourbon barrels, this 15-year-old variation underwent a finishing touch in oloroso sherry casks, introducing a delightful note of sweet dried fruit to the distillery’s naturally light, creamy, and fruity character.

Glencadam in the Highland region was founded as far back as 1825 by George Cooper and lies in Brechin north east of Dundee. After having changed hands a number of times Glencadam is now owned by the wealthy Hillman family-Angus Dundee Distillers. Glencadam’s stills produces spirit for crafting into both single malt whisky and blended malt. These stills have lyne arms that are placed upwards at a fifteen degree angle allowing for greater reflux helping to define the character of the final spirit. The whisky has great tropical and orchard fruit flavours. There are sixteen extremely large steel tanks used for blending on site. Recently a working water wheel was brought back to life to showcase how the distillery used to be powered in the early days. Work has also begun to on building a brand new visitor centre. There is a large core range which includes, Origin, 1825, Reserva Adalucia plus the 10,13,15,21 & 25 year old Glencadam. A new recent addition to this range was also the American Oak.
