Nose: Rich blackcurrant aromas infuse with treacle and aniseed.
Palate: Raspberry flavours combine with redcurrant, followed by black pepper.
Finish: A medium-bodied finish with lingering fruit cake and ginger spice.

The Balblair distillery in the northern Highlands was established by James McKeddy in 1790 then John Ross took over that same year. Now owned by Inver House Distillers there is a quality core range of age statement whiskies to enjoy plus many independent bottling’s too. The distillery appeared in the popular Ken Loach film “The Angles Share”
