A 1999 vintage Benriach bottled for the pioneering Connoisseurs Choice range of whiskies from Gordon & MacPhail. This range was introduced in 1968 to showcase the delights of single malt whisky when much whisky at the time was used in blending.
Matured for 24 years in a single refill sherry butt cask, #63204 this excellent release was drawn on the 27th of February 2024 at a cask strength of 57.1% abv. Beautiful aromas of Seville orange with a hint of lavender lead to sweet raspberry, liquorice flavours with a great ginger spice. The finish is full and spicy with a lasting citrus.
