Tullibardine lies in the village of Blackford in Perthshire, the gateway to the Scottish Highlands. Founded in 1949 by architect William Dalme-Evans the distillery was converted from a former brewery dating back to the fifteenth century. After testing the water source from the local springs Mr Dalme-Evans knew this was the best location for producing whisky. Now owned by Terrior Distillers, Tullibardine is an independent family run distillery. All the whisky is traditionally handcrafted and exclusively matured in first fill casks to create the greatest flavour and colour. The distillery now also benefits from its own bottling hall allowing the whole production to take place in the same location. A new large core range of single malt whisky was released in 2013. The signature no age statement Sovereign is matured in the finest first fill bourbon casks. There is also the 225 Sauternes finish, 228 Burgundy finish, 500 Sherry finish plus the 15, 20 and 25 year olds. With a wide a range limited editions also released theres so many interesting whiskies to explore.
