Another wonderful Lady Of The Glen release and this time from the Inchgower distillery. A waxy, nutty and fresh spirit was matured in a hogshead for the majority of it’s days before being finished in a refill Pedro Ximénez sherry cask. Heather honey, peppered strawberries, oak and spice await on the well balanced palate. Distilled on the 18th of January 2008 and bottled on the 17th of February 2021. One of just 268 bottles released, of this excellent limited edition whisky.

The tasting revealed heather honey, pepper strawberries, oak and spice

Inchgower is a Speyside distillery located just outside the town of Buckie in Banffshire. It was founded in 1871 by Alexander Wilson & Co. The distillery houses two wash and two spirit stills which are predominantly used for blending. Inchgower is one of the key malts in the famous Bell’s blended whisky. There is one official single malt the Flora & Fauna 14 year old and you can also find independent bottling’s.
