Another exceptional release by Gordon & Macphail this time at 38 year old Pulteney. This 1982 vintage single malt whisky was matured in a refill American hogshead #861. Distilled June 1982 and bottled December 2020 for the Private Collection series. Just 99 hand-blown crystal decanters were produced. This certainly is a rare collectable single cask whisky.

Offficial Tasting Notes 

Aroma - Rich honey aromas combine with sweet lime zest and vanilla, subtle apple notes lead to a hint of fudge. 

Taste - Sweet flavours of honeydew melon and lemon are accompanied by soft white pepper. 

Finish - A medium-bodied and smooth finish of toasted oak

A rare 1982 Old Pulteney matured in a single refill American hogshead for 38 years before being bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.1%. Bottled on the 15th of December 2020 by Gordon & MacPhail as part of their prestigious Private Collection range.
