Introducing a 27 year old Glen Garioch release by highly regarded independent bottler, Thompson Bros. Distilled on 13th October 1998 and matured for 27 years in a carefully selected 1st fill sherry butt, this Glen Garioch represents independent bottling at its finest. 

Phil & Simon Thompson have captured the distillery's robust Highland character at peak maturity. Expect notes of buttered sourdough, zesty green apples, sage butter and ricciarelli biscuits on the palate suggesting that this whisky was aged is a first fill Fino sherry butt. 

With just 597 bottles produced from a single cask, this is a genuinely limited release. A serious whisky at a great price that won't be around long.

Nose: Butter madelines, mineraly Chenin Blanc, Williams Pear, Golden Kiwi & Golden Sultana, lemon zest, almonds. Some dough-y notes, more enriched pastry than bread. cinder toffee

Palate: Starts very zesty, with flints and minerals. Buttered sourdough, zesty green apples, almond – Ricciarelli biscuits. Lemon juice, green bell pepper, sage butter

Finish: Nice acidity with citrus oils and zest. Coconut macaroon, lemon tart and toasted almonds
