Royal Brackla 11 year old release by independent bottler Thompson Brothers. Distilled in 2014, finished in American oak Oloroso quarter cask and bottled at a bold 54.1% abv. The label features an attractive Ross-shire wrap around map. 

Aromas of autumnal niceties, red fruits, dried strawberries and cranberries are complemented by a rich palate with notes of panettone, raisins, dark chocolate and frozen red grapes. Expect a long finish with old wood, herbs and orchard fruit. 

The Thompson brothers are known for thoughtful cask choices and letting the whisky speak for itself. The result is whisky with honesty, personality, and plenty of depth.

Nose: Umeshu, fallen leaves, pumpkin skin, lots of autumnal niceties, moving onto red fruits, dried strawberries and cranberries, and preserved plums

Palate: A nice thickness to the spirit with the sherry finish adding lots heft, panettone, Sun-Maid raisins, 60% dark chocolate (of the fruit and nut variety), frozen red grapes

Finish: Long with old wood, herbs and orchard fruit
